Ραβανί

(Rah-vah-nee)

A delicious and sweet Greek sponge cake flavored with Orange zest and soaked in a simple syrup.

Μπακλαβάς

Baklava/Baklawa
(bah-kluh-vah)

One of Greece’s classic and most popular desserts, Baklava is made with layer upon layer of thin phyllo dough encapsulating a delicious filling of nuts, all of which is drizzled with a sweet honey syrup.

Γαλακτομπούρεκο

Galaktoboureko/Galaktobouriko
(gah-lahk-toh-BOO-reh-koh)

A flavorful egg-custard filling with phyllo dough layers on the top and bottom.

Καταϊφι

Kataïfi/Kadaïfi
(kah-tah-EE-fee)

This golden brown Shredded wheat and phyllo surrounds a walnut filling similar to Baklava, and cooked with sweet syrup.

κουλουράκια

Koulourakia
(koo-loo-RAH-kee-ah)

Although these are traditionally an Easter cookie, they’re too good to have only once a year. They hand-twisted butter cookies are brushed with a light egg-wash and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

κουραμπιές

Another seasonal treat, we don’t reserve these just for Christmas either. These are a shortbread almond-based cookie topped with a generous dusting of powdered sugar.
